The School of Research and Graduate Studies consist of two main departments namely the Graduate Studies Department and the Research Administration Department.
The Graduate Studies Department is the coordinating centre for all graduate programmes and studies at the University. It is responsible, under a Board of Graduate Studies, for admissions and registration of students and their study programmes and also serves as the repository of records on graduate students. The School is headed by a Dean who is a Professor and is appointed by the Academic Board on the recommendation of the Executive Committee. He is assisted by a Senior Assistant Registrar and a team of administrative and accounting staff.
The Research Administration Department provides quality service and administration to the University community in the area of research, and represents the interests of the University in its contractual relationships. Its other functions include: Grant Applications and Reporting; Contract Research (including consultancy); Ethical Clearance, Registration, and Patenting; and the Management of External Funds
The School of Research and Graduate Studies is housed in the Frederick Marfo Memorial Building, a donation from Dr. Steve Kwadwo Amoa-Marfo in memory of his late father Frederick Kojo Fordjour Marfo.
